Charming old and homey accommodation with amazing setting right by the lakes and lots of other nice towns, Whinlatter forest and Borrowdale area, and Keswick in less than half a hour. The rooms with lovely view.

Great position in the lovely area, adjacent to Powe House for four nights in the middle of a Lakeland heatwave, Really close to the lakes, and Portinscale, one of the most beautiful parts of Lake District. Again, walking distance to Derwent Water Marina.

Our stay was truly memorable, greatly enjoyed absolutely superb and excellent breakfasts.

I spent here 3 great days and would love to come back here some time. Everything was good, including superfriendly staff and stunning location close to local pub. I booked a room with an extremely comfy bed, an electric kettle, central heating, and an iron and ironing board. The view over the hills from the window was exceptionally good.

Honestly no complaint. Gorgeous breakfast options, including cereals and fruit. Particularly good and beautiful location out on the hills in a nice area.

Big room with fabulous views over the hills. Exceptional customer care. Location not far from very good pub and superb restaurant, portinscale which is a short distance from Keswick, and the Keswick Town center. Besides, excellent for visiting Derwent Water Marina.

The place was spotless with superfriendly and affable staff members. Really enjoyed the elegant-style building and good sized room with a large bed. The location was absolutely perfect and stunning - a short way from everywhere we wanted to go.

Free Wi-Fi was great and the service was exceptional. There were a coffee/tea maker, a work desk, and a TV in the room, truly enjoyed that. The venue was set in the remote position near superb restaurant, very good pub and superb restaurant within 5 minutes walk, and Lake District and family.

The whole place was spotless and the staff were excellent. Exceptional services were available. The hotel was in the remote setting on the hills. What's more, it was not far from the Lakes, northern Lake District and cafes, walks and other attractions.
